01/23 Paper from Swansea/UPM collaboration now out in Scientific Reports, many congrats to Ninie for all her hard work on this.

01/23 Paper out! A Swansea JACS, it had to be... :)

"Ruthenium(II) Polypyridyl Complexes as FRET Donors: Structure- and Sequence-Selective DNA-Binding and Anticancer Properties"

Congratulations to Chris and thanks to all involved.

10/22 Welcome to Steffan James, who joins the group as an MRes student, and Elias Ash, who will be doing his MChem project with us.

08/22 Chemical Biology Ireland was grand, very thought-provoking research going on. Excellent poster from Natalia.

8/07/22 Great to be asked to talk at RSC Nucleic Acids Forum

10/05/22 Paper out in Angewandte:

We assumed the antiproliferative effects of "RuRuPhen" would be DNA-based as the molecule's such a nice DNA imaging agent... turns out it was actin all along.

28/03/22 Congratulations to Paul Tiley, who has finished his MSc by Research degree!

28/01/22 Three new project students, Dom Conway, Steff James and Jake Stubbs start their research.

04/10/21 Welcome to Natália Kolozsvári who starts her PhD with us.

22/02/21 Welcome to Chris Elgar who joins the group as a PDRA.

25/01/21 Welcome to George Fox, a Chemistry BSc project student joining the lab for his final year project.

24/01/21 Two publications out in Pharmaceutics, with Prof Haslina Ahmad, UPM. and New topic in silica nanoparticles and credit to Ain and Eleen for their hard work.

05/01/21 Welcome to Paul Tiley who joins the group as an MRes student!

18/11/20 Final version of our ChemMedChem review now published:

This is part of a "Metals in medicine" ChemMedChem/EJIC special collection with guest editors Prof. Angela Casini and Prof. Edith (Phoebe) Glazer and also is a VIP paper!

19/08/20 Advance review article out in ChemMedChem: "Combining PARP inhibition with platinum, ruthenium or gold metal complexes for cancer therapy". Thanks to Ina and Ninie (Dr Haslina Ahmad and Nur Aininie Yusoh).

10/08/20 Ever wondered what happens when you label a ruthenium polypyridyl complex with a radiometal? Find out in Chemical Science:!divAbstract

23/05/20 Quick video on our stuff on SwanseaChem's twitter page courtesy of some amazing editing from Dr Francisco Martin-Martinez!

And if it looks like I've been in the same room for weeks, well.... I have.

03/01/20 Nice start to the new year: Ninie (Nur Aininie Yusoh) has her paper "Metallointercalator [Ru(dppz)2(PIP)]2+ Renders BRCA Wild-Type Triple-Negative Breast Cancer Cells Hypersensitive to PARP Inhibition" published in ACS Chemical Biology. -

Work in collaboration with Dr Haslina Ahmad, University Putra Malaysia. Link.
